Klar Details has been established since 2014 with more than 30 years of combined experience. Our Klar Specialists are properly trained with certification.
We only take in limited slots per day to ensure that each and every car is done properly, and we do not sacrifice quality over quantity.
We are one of the only few detailing companies to have a full 5-star rating both on Google and Facebook and we are regularly featured as one of the top 5 detailing companies in Singapore.
We provide 2 layers of coating. That is the maximum number of layers that can be applied beyond reaching the point of diminishing returns and time.
Each layer of Ceramic Coating requires at least 1 hour to set before applying another layer to achieve the required results.
Those promising anything more than 2 layers of coating will require significant amount of time and work and will be lying if they can produce the results in a day.
With no maintenance at all, KlarCoat can last between 1-2 years in Singapore’s Climate.
With proper self-maintenance or with our KlarSpa or KlarCare Program, the lifespan of KlarCoat can be extended to 3 years or more.
Our KlarConsultants will also advice and provide training during vehicle collection on self-maintenance process.
Unless you are new to Singapore, most probably you will pass by Singapore Ports along the highways and see hundreds of cars parked in the open, sometimes, up to a month waiting for logistics clearance and LTA inspections.
In Singapore’s tropical climate (rain, sunlight and humidity) some of our new cars parked in the open are subjected to weeks or months of exposure in the weather, and let’s not forget the sea breeze that brings in sand and dust particles.
Water marks, sand and dust abrasion sets in and can cause damage to the paintwork as the car may not be adequately protected. Further paint damage may occur due to incorrect washing or cleaning prior to delivery.
The dealers/agents are supposed to rectify any paintwork defects during the Pre-Delivery process and inspection. But with cost and manpower considerations, we highly doubt the dealers/agents will spend a good amount of time to perform paint corrections/polishing to remove those nasty spots and swirls.
This is where 𝗞𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 comes in. Every car, new or old is subjected to our detailed inspection and 3 stage paint correction process. (We do not believe in cutting corners)

Mobile Detailing will offer a cheaper option as their overheads are much smaller compared to On-Site.
But Mobile Detailing often lacks the proper lighting, tools, and even basic requirements such as water to do a proper job.
Mobile Detailing will need to cover multiple locations in a single day to make their money as all the personnel and tools are in the mobile vehicle.
So how proper can the job be if they only have 2-3 hours to complete before rushing to the next customer.
We only use high quality materials that have been properly tested between 6 months to 1 year on real world conditions and not in a lab that truly reflects the product quality.
High quality materials will come at a price. Human Nature will tend to choose the cheapest option. But it is important to remember that you get what you pay for.
A cheap Ceramic Coating will simply not last as long or produce the high-quality finish than our KlarCoat range.
Also look out for those Ceramic Coating Spray products that are advertised as Ceramic Coating. The level of SiO2 in these are too low and simply cannot provide the level of protection KlarCoat can.
We strive to provide the best value to the customer while looking at our operational costs. We are not the cheapest, but we are definitely not the most expensive.
Wax has been around for many years and is easy to apply, provide high gloss and finish and some level of protection but not durable. Life span is measured is weeks.
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear film that is sticked on to the body work. It offers high levels of protection from damage but has poor hydrophobic properties and poor gloss and finish. It is durable but expensive.
Paint Protection Film cannot be polished to remove stains or water marks. Overtime in our climate, the film will start to yellow and blur and will require replacement which is very costly.
Ceramic Coating are based on SiO2 polymer technology and when cured and hardens provides a protective layer 1 to 2 microns thick. It offers good levels of protection and have good hydrophobic properties and high gloss and finish.
A good Ceramic Coating has a long product life span of about 5 years. But in our climate with minimal maintenance on average the lifespan is 1-2 years.
On balance, Ceramic Coating offers the best value in terms of durability and protection.
Our suggestion is a big “𝗡𝗼!”. We have seen too many customers coming in to us for rectification works due to improper or incorrect applications.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀. This owner did his own D.I.Y coating and didn’t wipe off in time and thus created the wave effect due to the coating hardening and bonding to the paintwork.
𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁: Cannot be removed by polishing due to unevenness and had to sand off the affected area and perform paint respray.
𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲? $2700 + loss of use for 1 week.
Every brand/model of coating has its own characteristics.
Whether it is the wipe off time (YES, you need to wipe off the coating!) or the method of application.
Unless you are a seasonal coating guru, we strongly advise you leave it to the professionals. The preparation process and application can be complex and requires necessary equipment and experience.
