KlarCOAT / KlarGRAPHENE
New Car and EV Detailing in Singapore
A new car is best protected before its first months of wear. We inspect the paint first, because a new car does not always need correction. We then recommend KlarCOAT ceramic or KlarGRAPHENE, with interior protection if you want it. Petrol, hybrid and electric cars are all handled with EV-safe processes.

How it works
- 1Free assessment
We inspect the paint for transport marks, dealer-polish swirls and defects.
- 2Hand wash and decontamination
New paint still carries fallout and transport residue that should be removed.
- 3Correction only if needed
We polish where defects are visible and leave clean paint alone.
- 4Coating
KlarCOAT or KlarGRAPHENE is applied in an enclosed bay and cured with infrared lamps.
- 5Interior protection
Interior cleaning or protection is added if you have chosen it.
- 6Handover with aftercare
We hand the car over with written aftercare for the first washes.
When should a new car be detailed?
Soon after delivery, before the paint has collected swirl marks and fallout. Coating a new car in good paint needs less preparation than a worn one, so there is less to correct and more to protect.
Our new car detailing guide covers timing. Book the assessment before the first automatic wash, as brush washes are a common source of early swirl marks.
Ceramic or graphene for a new car?
Choose by how long you plan to keep it. KlarCOAT ceramic lasts about 1 to 2 years with minimal upkeep. KlarGRAPHENE is rated up to 3 to 5 years with proper maintenance. Both bead water and improve gloss. Neither stops chips.
See ceramic coating and graphene coating. You can also try graphene on the bonnet first with the S$88 trial.
Does a new car need paint correction?
Not always. New paint can carry transport marks, dealer-polish swirls or light defects, but many cars are clean. We inspect each panel under light and recommend correction only for what is visible.
If correction is needed, it is quoted before the work starts. See paint correction.
What is different about EVs and hybrids?
Electric and hybrid cars have high-voltage systems, charging ports and sensors that call for care around water and chemicals. Our processes are EV and hybrid-safe, and we have worked on Tesla, BYD and Polestar cars.
We also have in-house EV charging. Our article for Tesla and EV owners covers it in more detail.
Price
New car packages are quoted after the free assessment, according to car size, paint condition and the coating you choose. The quote is fixed before work starts.
Questions about new car detailing
Is it worth coating a brand-new car?
Often, because there is little damage to correct and the coating protects the paint from its first months. It depends on how long you plan to keep the car and where it is parked. We give a direct opinion at the free assessment.
Should I wait before coating a new car?
There is no need to wait for the paint to cure in most cases, but ask the dealer if they have applied any sealant or film. Tell us at booking, and we will inspect the paint and advise on timing.
Do you coat electric cars?
Yes. EV and hybrid-safe processes are used throughout, and we have worked on Tesla, BYD and Polestar cars. We also have in-house EV charging, which is useful on longer jobs. The model matters for charge-port and sensor positions, so tell us which car you drive when booking. Jobs on EV paint use the same preparation and coating lines as any other car.
Can the dealer polish be left under the coating?
If the paint is clean and glossy, yes. If we see dealer-polish swirls or hazing, we recommend correcting first, because the coating will keep whatever is beneath it. We show you the marks before quoting. Tell us at booking whether the dealer polished the car.
What if I want paint protection film as well?
Paint protection film protects against stone chips, which coatings do not. Tell us at the assessment and we will advise on whether it suits your car and how it relates to a coating on the rest of the body. Ask at booking if you are considering it.
